Fixing CI errors in aria-orin branch of elxr kernel code

Hi everyone,

I’ve opened a merge request for my branch (aria-orin) for the kernel code ( eLxr / Kernel / linux · GitLab ), but the CI pipeline is failing. This branch was last updated about 8 months ago.

This is the merge request: Upgrade kernel to 6.1.147-1 for aria-orin (!147) · Merge requests · eLxr / Kernel / linux · GitLab

When I look at other recent merge requests in the project, I notice that:

  • Some merge requests which have been submitted also have CI failures - and the errors look very similar to mine.
  • Some other branches seem to have all CI jobs passing.

I’m trying to figure out whether these failures are due to something I introduced, or if they’re inherited from the current state of the aria-orin branch/CI configuration.
(good chance that are legacy issues)

Now I know that ideally submitting a merge request with ci errors is a bad practice to have, but I am unsure of the process at-least for the ‘aria-orin’ branch.
Before I spend time debugging, I wanted to ask:
Should contributors ignore them for now, or try to fix them as part of their kernel upgrade merge requests or should this be a onetime separate request since it is more of a legacy issue?

Any guidance on how to proceed would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Deepak, I believe the pipeline failures need to be fixed before your merge request is pushed again. @ramkumarm or Mostafa should be able to help you.
