We’re pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the eLxr Mirror Tracker project, the dashboard is available at https://elxr-mirror-tracker-532e68.gitlab.io. The project now includes automated installation testing results for all changed/updated packages.
What’s New
We’ve integrated installation testing directly into the Mirror Tracker workflow, enabling the testing team to validate package changes automatically. The system now:
-
Monitors package changes - Continuously tracks added, removed, and updated packages across different dates
-
Triggers automated tests - Automatically initiates installation tests for changed packages
-
Validates across architectures - Tests package installation success on multiple target architectures
-
Displays test results - Shows installation testing outcomes in the last column of the project
How It Works
When the Mirror Tracker detects package changes (additions, removals, or updates), it automatically:
-
Identifies the specific packages that changed
-
Triggers installation tests targeting only those changed packages
-
Validates installation success across different architectures
-
Updates the project with test results in real-time
Benefits
-
Immediate feedback - Get instant visibility into whether changed packages install successfully
-
Targeted testing - Focus validation efforts on packages that actually changed, not entire package sets
-
Efficient validation - Reduce testing time by testing only what matters
-
Enhanced visibility - Track both package changes and their installation status in one place
Check the last column in the project to see the installation testing results for changed packages.
